The TECNO Spark 40 Pro+ packs a more than impressive punch way above its class with a premium and ultra-slim build that does not sacrifice on performance or features! Its rounded 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate are silky smooth and feel luxurious. Powering the phone is the MediaTek Helio G200 with 8 GB RAM, providing smooth everyday usage which extends from clicking photos, browsing and multitasking to light gaming; always maintaining a cool temperature.

“Perhaps the most striking thing is its flexible charging and battery system. The 5200 mAh unit is good for a day of use, and the 45 W fast cable charging, 30 W magnetic wireless charging, and reverse charging are quite versatile for a device in this price range. Bypass charging is a neat addition, meaning power can be provided directly during very heavy use (gaming, say), which is good for the long-term health of the battery. The Spark 40 Pro+ also includes considerate extras such as FreeLink (for offline Bluetooth connection), a nicely curated in-box package that includes a case and screen protector, and a clean HiOS experience with useful AI extras.

On the camera side, the 50 MP main sensor supplies consistently sharp and punchy daytime shots, with Night Mode improving low-light performance. There’s video support for up to 2K with EIS, which is good flexibility, and front and back dual-view recording is a swisher option for the casual content creator.

That said, it isn’t perfect. Gaming performance isn’t as seamless as higher priced devices in graphically intensive games, only compatible with FreeLink wirelessly charging cases(et-locals-only);Ali Wireless Charging Alignment can feel janky without a case. Night shots may smudge some fine details, 4K video is missing, and HiOS pushes some pre-installed apps. Long-term software updates remain uncertain.
