Build qualityThe Oppo Find X8s is a true flagship (of flagships) when it comes to build quality and manages the feat being durable and elegant at the same time. With a glass structure on the front and back, like an aerospace grade aluminium frame, it feels as premium as its price tag should command and yet comes in at just 179 grams – light, but also well built. The device is only 7.7mm slim and thus offers a comfortable hand feel, thanks to its precision-cut edges and smooth curves that give it an elegant finish.
A key standout feature here is the downright minuscule 1.25mm bezels, a part of Oppo’s cutting edge engineering that serves to both enhance the immersive AMOLED display and simply showcase at top end what it can do in terms of pure design. Despite the slim body, the Find X8s is IP68/IP69 certified for dust and water resistance, as well as built to take on daily wear and tear.
Oppo has also incorporated a layer of reinforced glass to the display for protection, reducing the likelihood of scratches and shattering. The textured power and volume buttons are all situated appropriately, click well, and the display-embedded fingerprint scanner seems to be responsive and secure.
