Lab Tests: Display – Huawei Enjoy 80
The Huawei Enjoy 80 features a large 6.75-inch IPS LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, delivering decent sharpness & colors for the price segment in which it falls. The screen Has good color reproduction, natural tones and a nice change when watching videos, an internet or playing games.
In our test, the screen got really close to 480 nits in terms of brightness which is quite enough for indoor usage and some average outdoor viewing as direct sunlight gives it some glare. An IPS panel: Contrast ratio is good for the genre with clear separation between dark and bright areas on screen, but black levels can’t quite compete against OLED one.
Color shifting when tilting the screen is minimal and viewing angles are also more than ideal, and the 90Hz refresh rate helps too, making animations super smooth and resulting in a snappy user experience. The device also ships with an accuracy-sensitive touchscreen that has very good response, which makes it feels you are having interaction in a human way.
All in all, the display on the Enjoy 80 is very good for day to day use presenting sharpness and colour accuracy along with smoothness which benefits multimedia playback and general usability.
