There is only a single bottom-firing loudspeaker in the Huawei nova 13i and it outputs clean and fairly loud audio for daily use. It lacks stereo output, but the speaker throws out balanced mids and highs, helping voices and dialogue sound clear in calls, podcasts, and video.
As for its sound profile, it should be good enough for most music — not too bass-heavy (which is usual with single-speaker setups in this class) but leaning towards clarity. It can be listened to at full volume without excessive distortion, but by and large sounds best at 70-80% volume level.
Huawei says that the Histen audio technology improves sound quality when using headphones or Bluetooth speakers. This results in a better, more private listening experience.
While stereo speakers are always better, the nova 13i loudspeaker is powerful enough for a bit of gaming, watching videos and even speaker calls. If you like slightly more cinematic or deep bass sound, I would suggest pairing it with a good pair of earphones or wireless speaker.
