The official released date is September 13, 2016 Just like all previous system updates, iOs 10.0 brought some of the novelties that made using an iPhone or iPad better and faster than ever before.
Key Features of iOS 10:
New Lock Screen: Raise to wake, interactive notifications and swipe directly to the camera on lock screen.
Improved iMessage sends more expressive with animated stickers, emojis for a better expression and handwritten messages. Which also featured Invisible Ink and full-screen effects for sending messages.
Siri improvements: Third-party apps could be activated using Siri, allowing users to do more with voice commands
Overhauled Apple Music: The Apple Music app is getting a total redesign with better navigation and the ability to find new tunes to listen to.
Home App In iOS 10 Apple introduced the Home app, which centralizes control of all your HomeKit-enabled smart devices.
Updates to the Photos App: The Photos app received a host of new features, including Memories and better organization based on events or locations.
Better Maps: The new Maps redesign brings real-time traffic and suggested destination information based on your location and calendar to the forefront.
iMessage: apps can now add features or functionality to iMessaging]widgets | 3D Touch — They added widgets to the lock screen and home screen for quicker app access. They also broadened 3D Touch to allow more detailed interaction with apps.
This was a major update in terms of user experience and interactivity from iOS 10. It would go on to lay the groundwork for all sorts of different advancements in Apple’s ecosystem as we saw with future versions of iOS.
